About Us

About Us

Welcome to the West Bengal government’s social registry portal, a gateway for citizens to access welfare benefits and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) statuses. Our mission is to provide a transparent and efficient platform for eligible citizens to apply for financial assistance and other benefits under various schemes, including the Annapurna Bhandar and Lakshmir Bhandar.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower the citizens of West Bengal by providing them with easy access to welfare benefits and services. We strive to ensure that eligible citizens receive the financial assistance they are entitled to, in a timely and transparent manner.

Our Values

  • Transparency: We believe in providing clear and accurate information to our citizens, ensuring that they are aware of the benefits and services available to them.
  • Efficiency: We aim to provide a seamless and efficient experience for our citizens, minimizing delays and ensuring that applications are processed quickly.
  • Inclusivity: We are committed to ensuring that all eligible citizens have access to our services, regardless of their background or socio-economic status.

Our History

The West Bengal government has been operating two primary social security portals: socialregistry.wb.gov.in (Social Registry) and socialsecurity.wb.gov.in (Social Security). These portals serve as gateways for tracking welfare benefits and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) statuses. In June 2026, the state introduced the new Annapurna Bhandar scheme, which provides a uniform monthly financial assistance of ₹3,000 to eligible women aged 25-60. This scheme replaced the flagship Lakshmir Bhandar scheme and introduced stricter eligibility criteria.

Our portal has been designed to provide citizens with a user-friendly interface to apply for benefits, track their application status, and access information on various schemes. We are committed to continuously improving our services to ensure that they meet the needs of our citizens.

Our Services

  • Application and Payment Status Tracking: Citizens can track the status of their applications and payments online.
  • Annapurna Bhandar: Eligible women aged 25-60 can apply for a uniform monthly financial assistance of ₹3,000.
  • Lakshmir Bhandar: Existing beneficiaries of the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme are being automatically migrated to the new Annapurna Bhandar scheme.

We are dedicated to providing our citizens with a reliable and efficient platform for accessing welfare benefits and services. If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
